Following his graduation from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Dr. Miller attended Wayne State University in Detroit. There he completed his medical degree and residencies in general and Orthopaedic Surgery. In pursuing his specialty in total joint replacement, Dr. Miller served a fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. He then spent a year as an associate professor of orthopaedic surgery at Harvard Medical School in Cambridge, Massachusetts, before joining Oakland Orthopaedic Associates in 1981. Dr. Miller is actively involved in teaching orthopaedic medicine in the community. Currently, he serves as a clinical assistant professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine’s Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. He has been listed in Pittsburgh Magazine’s list of Top Doctors. He and his wife, Barbara, also a physician, live with their two children in the East End of Pittsburgh.
