Dr. Drabicki is a board certified, fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon with special expertise in the most current minimally invasive, arthroscopic surgical procedures of the shoulder, elbow, and knee. In addition, he performs the latest shoulder joint replacement techniques for patients with advanced arthritis and for those with rotator cuff deficiency.
Dr. Drabicki is a Pittsburgh area native, and after earning his medical doctor degree from Drexel University College of Medicine, he returned home to complete his surgical internship and Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at Allegheny General Hospital. After residency, he completed fellowship training at the prestigious Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center in Jackson, Mississippi and The Tulane Institute of Sports Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana. During this time, Dr. Drabicki trained under nationally and internationally acclaimed shoulder and knee specialists. Dr. Drabicki then joined Greater Pittsburgh Orthopaedic Associates where he has been practicing and serving the Brackenridge, Shadyside, and Cranberry areas since 2009.
Dr. Drabicki's advanced training uniquely qualifies him to serve as a team physician, a role he previously served as an assistant physician to the Pittsburgh Pirates and as the head team physician for the Jackson State University Tigers. Currently, he is the team physician for the Highlands Golden Rams athletes.
Dr. Drabicki remains active in academic medicine and has contributed to several educational presentations, articles, and book chapters on sports medicine and minimally invasive surgical topics. He is an Associate Master Instructor for arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder and knee at the Orthopaedic Learning Center in Chicago, Illinois, and he serves on the Fellowship Committee for the Arthroscopy Association of North America. He is active in the American Orthopaedic Association, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
