A fellowship-trained Total Joint Replacement Orthopaedic Surgeon, Dr. Componovo began his interest in sports and academics at an early age. A standout athlete in soccer, basketball, and lacrosse, Dr. Componovo graduated Valedictorian of his high school class. He went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from UNC Chapel Hill, with a degree in Chemistry, where he also played Varsity Goalkeeper for the Soccer team.

He obtained his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia in 2002 and completed his Internship and Residency in General and Orthopaedic Surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2007. In addition to participating in numerous Total Joint research studies while at MUSC, Dr. Componovo received the prestigious Siegling Research Outstanding Clinical Science Paper award in 2007. That same year, Dr. Componovo was also awarded a Total Joint Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, where he completed his training in hip and knee replacements as well as performing research in ceramic hip replacements in July 2008.

In addition to his interest in General Orthopaedics, Dr. Componovo focuses on arthritis surgery including primary and revision hip and knee replacements.

Dr. Componovo lives in Sewickley with his wife, Jenna, and their daughter, Angelina. He enjoys tennis, basketball, ESPN, cooking pasta, and spending time with his family.
